1873:  Zion Hill Baptist Church established. Members from Sugar Loaf Baptist Church helped in the organization.

1873:  When Zion Hill was established, the church held services once a month, on Saturday and Sunday.

1874:  Petitioned by people meeting at Whittles Schoolhouse to come and help organize a church. Zion Hill responded by sending six: William & Mary Odem, Mary, Margaret & Matilda Nichols and Nancy Sexton. They helped organize Shiloh Baptist Church.

1874:  Margaret Clark died, January 15, 1874. Oldest legible monument in the cemetery.
