Sevier "deadeye" wins state shooting title
A UT student from Wears Valley won the state championship medal for sharp shooting last week at Clinton, Tennessee.
Eugene Autrey, son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Autrey, won the shooting title to add to a long string of marksmanship victories. An ROTC cadet at UT, Autrey won the intramural championship his freshman year at "The Hill."
Eugene is a graduate of Sevier County High School.

Mrs. Viola Cate -- 85, of Route 1, Kodak, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at St. Mary's Hospital, Knoxville. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Amos Pollard, Mrs. Bruce Hayes, Mrs. W. R.
