Nearly 6,000 marriage records dating from the 1840's to the 1930's were abstracted by James Breeden. The information is provided here with his permission. An additional set of nearly 1,600 records, ranging from 1914-1920, were found in a Web archive. Those records were originally posted on the Sevier County Library's site. The abstracter's name was not given, nor was it clear whether this was a complete extraction.
Please note: from 1887-1913 (inclusive) and from 1926-onward, this database has gaps. We would be grateful for donation of those records.
Please enter at least the surname of the groom, bride, or both. You may narrow your search by including a marriage year or a given name. Please note that many records contain only initials, rather than complete given names.
Please note: Regardless of the number of matches (hits) that may result from your search, you will only be able to view the first 50 records returned by the system. The purpose of this limitation is an attempt to prevent unscrupulous individuals from foraging through Mr. Breeden's data.
