More than 19,000 deed index records, dating from 1856-1911, with a few dated as early as 1826 and as late as 1953, were abstracted by volunteers whose names were not identified in the data that was published on-line. This datafile was found in an Internet Archive and has been presented here with no intention of copyright infringement.
Research Tip: Deed books contain many items besides instruments related to the transfer of land. Military discharges, promissory notes, even certified transcriptions of family Bibles can be found there.
Please enter at least the surname of the Grantee (Buyer) or Grantor (Seller), or both. Considering spelling variations, you may want to enter just the first 4 or 5 letters initially.
You may narrow your search by including a record year or a given name. Please note that many records contain only initials, rather than complete given names. Also, the date of recording is not necessarily the date a deed was written.
Important! Regardless of the number of matches (hits) that may result from your search, you will only be able to view the first 50 records returned by the system. This was done to circumvent harvesting by unscrupulous individuals.
