Nearly 1,700 index records, dating from 1881-1960, were abstracted from Minutes of the Sevier County Chancery Court by volunteers whose names were not identified in the data that was published on-line. This datafile was found in an Internet Archive and has been presented here with no intention of copyright infringement.

Research Tip: Not every case number or record book date range was recorded in the original abstracted data.

Search the Database

Enter at least three letters of the surname of the couple. Considering spelling variations, you may want to enter just the first 4 or 5 letters initially.

You may narrow your search by including either one or both of the Plaintiff's or Defendant's given names. Please note that many records contain only initials, rather than complete given names.

Important! Regardless of the number of matches (hits) that may result from your search, you will only be able to view the first 50 records returned by the system. This was done to circumvent harvesting by unscrupulous individuals.
